We're back on track after a whirlwind weekend. While Vic enjoyed a college football trip to Ohio State, Alexis and I were busy visiting Aunt Wendy, Matthew Courtney, Nanny, Grandpa Mike, Grandpa Tom, Great Grandma Connie, the Radeloff's, going to a baby shower, and stopping in at an Art Show - whew. Lexi clapped and waved and did "so big" and smiled and laughed and stood and climbed to her heart's content. What a little ham she's turning in to.
Oh yeah - and we also squeezed in an unexpected middle of the night visit to the ER (turns out our little lady was juggling her first ear infection with a cold, pink eye and a bout of teething) - yikes. And while it took a very caring Grandma, some hospital-administered antibiotics, a new humidifier and the clock to strike 2:30 am before she fell asleep Friday, the rest of the weekend was great fun. Actually, by the time we rolled into good 'ole Newton Memorial, Alexis was laughing and screeching and smiling at herself in the mirror. I was surprised the nurse believed our story about her waking up and crying uncontrollably just an hour earlier - ahh, babies.
By lunchtime Sunday, we were back in CT and anxiously waiting for daddy to get home. Always wanting to be wherever the action is , she left her perch at the front door and decided to "help" me unload the dishwasher.

Such a big girl helper she is

After that, it was time to show off her stair climbing skills and then settle in for some Giants football - just the three of us.

Poor Lexi!! That happened to us...Carter had croup and was having trouble breathing, coughing like crazy, crying hysterically, etc. Then we got to the ER and he acted fine. :)
Glad you all still had a great weekend!
So the forks on ths floor, do they get rewashed?
