Merry Christmas and Welcome, 2010

After lots of wrapping, and packing, and baking, and of course, "Christmas Vacation" and "Grinch" watching, we traveled home to New Jersey to spend Christmas with my family and Vic's family. Couldn't have asked for better company or more generous and caring people to spend the holiday with. From Christmas Eve at my parent's to Christmas Day at my sister's and then on to Vic's home, there was no rest for the weary.

Unfortunately, Alexis was just not feeling like herself, and she remains sick today. To be safe, our doctor had us spend the night at the hospital earlier this week. We put on a brave face as we walked into the hospital room, and luckily, Lexi's fever dropped and her blood work came back as they had hoped while we were there. I don't think I'll ever forget the image of Vic sleeping in the hospital crib with Lexi to ensure she would sleep more soundly.

The doctor's visits continued today, and we are now treating her for possible bronchiolitis. And poor Daddy is feeling under the weather today, too. Needless to say, we were not able to welcome 2010 as we had originally planned at Uncle John and Aunt Kate's new home, but we made the most of it and hope only good days are in store for us (and for you). Here's to a year filled with good health and much happiness!

Back home - with Daddy sick too

I'm so glad that Lexi, Mom, and Dad are home from the hospital and Lexi is feeling better. Now we just need Mom and Dad to follow suit. Heres' to a healthier New Year! See you soon.
