It may be time to teach the classic pool game to Alexis.
Because last week at swim class, she learned to swim.

We started at Wings Over Water a few weeks back
with our good buddy, Keaton.

This pool is geared just for children.
There are water slides and floats, pool toys and beach balls.
Anything that might compel a child into the pool
and under the water can be found there.
Lexi has never had a fear of the water.
She just also never had the desire to learn to swim on her own.
Jumping into my arms or Vic's arms suited her just fine.
And so, I was so proud and so excited
to see it all "click" for her last week.

There's something about sitting back and watching your child
do her very first doggie paddle that gets filed away into that "huge milestone" category.
At least there is for this mama.
And it wasn't just a big day for Lexi.
The whole swimming concept clicked for all four of the kiddos,
which made for some very excited mommys (and little sisters)
who were watching from the benches.

Sure, diving for pennies or rings might be a long way off.
But, you've got to start somewhere!
