Photo Replay

I take a lot of pictures.
This realization is nothing new.
My mom says that as a little girl
I would sit for hours and look through all the family photos.
It's the reason there are fingerprint smudges on many of them :)
In college, I was always the one lugging around the camera.
These days, my iPhone is never far from my hand.
It's quite silly, I know.
But it also makes me happy to document our moments - big and small.
I'll be able to show Alexis her first home and her first friends thanks to these photos.
If we are down in Dallas and missing our cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents,
I can whip out my phone and show the girls a picture or video of their loved ones.
Technology can be both a blessing and a curse these days,
but it sure is helpful to capture all the fun had along the way.
And while I haven't blogged as frequently in recent months,
I have taken photos of all our fun.
Without further adieu,
here is a little snapshot of our spring...as captured by my iPhone.
The school playground with Ella
It's so special to see how Ella looks up to Lexi
And Lexi does a great job looking out for her little friend

Compo Beach with Tyler and Shane
These boys do a great job of bringing Lexi up to speed on all things superhero
Goofing around with her Westport buddies
The younger sisters had fun together too
Egg dyeing party at our house with some of the preschool girls
Sneaking up to play in their bedrooms has become lots of fun recently
 Baby playgroup with Emma
Ryleigh has admirers wherever she goes
This same thing happens at preschool pick-up
It's the reason I wash her binky very often!
It's always fun when Grandpa comes to town
(especially if he brings her beloved cinnamon raisin bread)
All set for the St. Jude's trike-a-thon at school
These two look a lot alike
and don't let their smiles fool you -
they can be quite a handful when they get a case of the sillies
We drove a friend home from school for the first time
You should have heard the chatter and giggling coming from the back seat
We decided the first order of business was a visit to the cupcake store
 Sandcastle playground with Alyssa
Putting on a play for their mommies
A visit to see Jessica and her twins Mason and Charlie during Spring Break
The boys thought it was hilarious to sneak into the bathroom with Lexi
Another Friday morning = another baby playgroup
Matteo was still working through his colic at this point
Enjoying the Dogwood Festival with the Emmott family
 A playgroup for the parents
Yes, I made them all squeeze on the couch for a picture
They are great sports and humor me
 First carnival of the season
When did they get old enough to go on the rides by themselves?!
Lexi leading her boyfriend Matthew into school
We will miss the town green
You never know who you'll run into
 Teacher appreciation week
Our neighborhood playground - Gould Manor Park
We love walking or riding our bike here
 Shhh, don't tell Matthew
 Celebrating a "big" birthday
Playing Cinderella = perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon
Apparently, Courtney was a babysitter extraordinaire
while Vic and I flew down to Dallas
Lexi thinks she is just about the coolest big girl in the whole wide world
Just back from looking at homes...for 7 hours straight!
Brendan, Lindsay and their baby girl were very gracious hosts during our visit
Can't wait to see the friendship unfold for Ryleigh and Emily
 Sunny Dae's most loyal customer
She even gets free ice cream from the owner Ricky
First helping of peas from big sister
 Working hard on sitting up
Mill River is officially open for the season
We're excited that so many friends joined this summer
And that's our Spring in a nutshell!!
