Snowed in

Well, if this was the last snowstorm of 2012-2013,
it was sure a big one.
Schools were closed on Friday in advance of the storm
(and Monday and Tuesday as a result of it),
stores around town closed early, trains stopped running,
and roads were closed throughout the state.
It snowed and snowed and snowed some more.
Saturday morning we woke up to this
That's 35 inches...to be exact!!
Vic was loving life as he spent close to two hours clearing our driveway,
in freezing weather and strong winds.
The girls kept a close eye on him from the warm indoors.
Lexi helped do her part later in the day.
We received one of several code red alert phone calls from the town,
letting us know there were 382 cul-de-sacs (one of which we live on)
and that they all wouldn't be plowed for another 24-48 hours.
Vic walked through three feet of snow to the end of our street
where a good friend picked him up and brought him to Whole Foods (and the liquor store).
And just when we were officially starting to go stir crazy,
this rolled down our street
It may be a long time before we can see our yard again!
