F.I.V.E.

How in the world are we celebrating a 5th birthday around here?
It doesn't even seem possible that our little baby girl,
the one who gave us our best roles - mom and dad -
is about to turn 5 years old.
Much as we may want to, we cannot slow time down.
And so, this week we are celebrating Alexis in grand style.
First up was her gymnastics birthday party yesterday.
These days, she loves jumping, climbing, swinging and tumbling…
and does so everywhere and every chance she gets.
Not surprisingly, she wanted her party at ASI Gymnastics,
but she wanted a Disney twist to it.
Here's what we came up with.

All of her buddies joined us for the celebration.

I think it's fair to say that she is really thriving here, 

that she adjusted better to the move than we ever could have hoped for. 

She has such a great group of friends surrounding her here,

and they made her celebration all the more sweet. 

Also sweet was seeing how Lexi let her little sister join in on the fun.

Ryleigh wanted nothing more than to keep up with the big kids,

and it was wonderful to watch her enjoying herself right alongside Lexi.

Taylor quite clearly won, but being the birthday girl and all,

it was declared a tie 

Ryleigh and her buddy Emily (Brendan's daughter)

joined the last two standing and tried hard to keep up

 Birthday girl going in for a sweet smooch.

We told her since it was her birthday, 

she was allowed to give Jet a kiss - didn't hesitate for a second :)
