Baller

When Lexi's friend Callie asked her to play basketball this winter,
we were a little surprised she said yes immediately.

She'd never really shown any interest in the sport
and had never before dribbled a ball.
But, she signed up for the Upward program on Callie's team
and didn't look back.

She was happy to go to practice each week,
eager to get to dribble down the court and shoot,
and in.your.face when it came to defense.

It certainly brought back some fun memories for her momma -
who played for a few years in junior high and high school.
Upward is a national program and it's run very well.
Lexi and all of her teammates improved so much over the course of the season.
They had a ton of fun too!

What a wonderful first experience -
can't wait to teach her HORSE
once we get a hoop at the new house.
