The Story of our lives

Yesterday and today were lovely here in Texas.
In the 80s with a cool breeze and lots of clouds.
I can't say the same about the past few weeks, though.
It's been hot, very very hot.
So hot, that when the temps dipped into the 90s,
the forecasters were talking about a cold front.
Needless to say, we've been doing a lot of swimming.
We are so close to being able to swim right in our own back yard,
but until then, we are very grateful for gracious friends and neighbors,
and for some fun splash parks in the area for helping to keep us cool.
These pictures tell the "story of our lives" this past month,
and the video shows Ryleigh learning to swim.
She's made amazing progress since the beginning of the summer
when she clung to us for dear life
and was too cautious to jump from the side of the pool.
These days, both she and her sister are happiest when swimming.
