Spring Softball

Lexi wrapped up another season of softball
last weekend.

This Spring the experience was filled
with highs and lows.

The lows - there were a lot of new girls
on the team,

several of whom had no interest
in playing softball,

several of whom cried every single time
they struck out.

Oh, and did I mention we had a sweet mom
on the team who was filled with spirit
but also QUITE a screamer?!
Well, we did. 

The highs - she was on a team with
some of our neighbors,

she made some new friends,
and her former teacher

even came out to watch a game.

Personally, Lexi got some great experience 

and really grew as a player and team leader.  

She was able to play the infield
nearly every inning.

She had a lot of success batting and fielding. 

She was really excited to receive
the first game ball of the season,
and we were all really excited for her

that she made All-Stars.

So now we are buckling up
for a few weekends filled with

hot, steamy, serious softball!
