2nd Grade Goodbyes

Another school year has come and gone.

Second grade saw Lexi develop a love for
math and for chapter books.
It was also the year she was accepted into
Quest, the gifted and talented program.
She had a wonderful class,
on both the girls and boys' sides.
In fact, I can't remember a single day
where she wasn't happy about heading off to school -
which is very telling of how the year went.
This class had lots of personality
and spunk and giggles,
as evidenced by the end of year party pics.

While the kiddos were already pretty pumped
for summer to begin,
the moms in our neighborhood
had a little something up our sleeves.
All the elementary school students
jumped off the school bus on the last day
and stepped right into a water balloon fight
followed by a visit from the ice cream truck.
I think this needs to become a yearly tradition -
every last one of us enjoyed the fun.
