Peace out kindergarten and third grade!
School's out for summer.
These girls are super excited for no alarm clocks,
endless swimming and playdates,
camp, vacation and all the things sweet
summertime brings.
That said, I think they are also sad to see
the school year come to a close.
Ryleigh just loved being up at Walnut Grove
with her sister.
She made the sweetest friends in Mrs. Taylor's class
and really grew - both with her confidence
and as a student.
She learned to read, learned to handle the long school day,
settled in with her own group of buddies,
spent the year enamored with twins Harry and Hudson,
and really just blossomed.
It was a joy for Vic and I to see her walk across
that stage for her kinder graduation with a big
smile spread across her face.
And Lexi will hold Mrs. Boehmer close to her heart
as she travels through grades and schools, I believe.
Mrs. B. was just fantastic.
Young enough to be creative, fun and relatable to the students,
a whiz at math and Harry Potter (both of which Lexi loves)
and experienced enough to have a thriving and efficient classroom.
Lexi and several of her friends left the classroom for the last
time with tears in their eyes.
We are all grateful for a wonderful year
and savored the fun that comes with last day pool parties!
Welcome, sweet summertime
