when we visited in the fall,
that we decided to share it with the
girls during their Spring Break.
We spent the first two days enjoying
Disneyland and then drove a bit
further down the Coast to La Jolla.
West Coast as we had been.
Disneyland is so much easier to navigate
than Orlando, and we all especially enjoyed
California Adventure Park.
The live music, amazing weather, beer gardens,
playgrounds, climbing walls and lack of crowds
or long waits almost fools you into thinking
you aren't at a giant theme park...yet all the magic
is still there for kids young or simply young at heart!
with the exception of Space Mountain
which was closed for maintenance.
Walking to and from the hotel was so easy
and convenient, and downtown Disney
offered just about every shop
and restaurant you could hope for.
All in all, a great little visit.
How adorable is Radiator Springs?!
we spent our days sight seeing,
exploring and relaxing.
famous in this area,
and got right up close to them.
We all had fun watching them
sunning on the rocks,
playing in the waves and
barking at the tourists.
which lived up to the hype,
the Windansea Beach,
hiked along Torrey Pines
(which all the girls enjoyed
and poor Vic suffered through,
hiking for miles while battling food poisoning)
strolled around the heart of La Jolla village
and spent a day on Coronado Island
at the Hotel Del.
the girls enjoyed meeting a college friend of
mine and her adorable daughter
who happen to live in La Jolla
and we couldn't have asked for better weather,
more enjoyable meals or a nicer trip where
we really got to embrace what life is like in Cali.
I think all four of us could easily and quite
happily be "West Coasters".
