Unka and Aunt Kate

Alexis was very excited when her Uncle John and Aunt Kate came for a visit recently. She loves visitors, and she spent much of the day following around her "Unka" as she calls him.

She can't quite say Kate yet either, so it comes out sounding something like "Tit" - which is so innocently funny to us all. Lexi seems to totally understand that they are expecting a baby, and she kept pointing to Kate's stomach and saying "baby" even though there is no evidence just yet.

We played at the house, took a trip to the beach, came home for some appetizers, and once Miss Lexi was all tuckered out, the adults went out for dinner and some cocktails, then rounded out the night with a trip to Dairy Queen. All four of us indulged in those pregnancy cravings!

John, for several days afterwards, Lexi would wake up and ask for her dad, 

and then soon after, ask for her Unka. 

After paying close attention to her father and uncle...

...Lexi soon mastered the art of lounging
