We are here...in Dallas!
We had a wonderfully busy month of May -
packing up and saying our goodbyes.
There are so many faces we miss already,
and when there is time, I will write a post on that.
So that we have a place right here on the blog
to easily see those very people.
For now, we are busy getting settled in our new home.
We are renting for the year in University Park,
a wonderful suburb just minutes from the city.
It has so much to offer, I find myself already driving
along our favorite streets, imagining what it would be
like if we decide to settle here for good.
There is a cool neighborhood pool - complete with a
giant water slide, a sprinkler park area, and a covered zero entry kiddie pool.
There is Snider Plaza, just down the street with tons of stores, restaurants and boutiques.
There are tree-lined, sidewalk filled streets perfect for our little bike rider.
There are kids of all ages on the surrounding blocks,
ready to play with and/or babysit our girls.
There is a preschool association that I'm about to join -
which hopefully means new friends and all the info about UP I could hope to learn.
And then there are the Varley's and the Cocotos',
the friends who have welcomed us with open arms,
planned play dates and BBQs for us,
and helped ensure that this major move didn't totally overwhelm us.
Really not sure what we would have done without them!
But, in the meantime, there are still boxes to unpack,
rooms to organize and accessorize,
lots of errands to run and streets to navigate.
So for now, I'm going to post a little video of Lexi
at her new preschool.
Because sometimes, you just have to stop amid the chaos and smell the roses...
or in this case, do a little swinging!
