Pink Panthers

 Ladies and Gentlemen,

here are your 2016-2017 Pink Panthers.

Their smiles would never lead you to believe 

they lost every.single.game this season.

Sounds like a disaster, 

but actually it was a super fun season for Lexi

and her teammates
(many of whom are her good friends).

They played Southlake Rec this year
for the first time 

and were matched up against teams that were 

a year older, at least a foot taller and many of

whom had been playing together the past few years.

Lexi had a good season - she really turned into 

a leader on the court, 

and she is one feisty defensive player.

The team improved greatly from start to finish,

and we lost one heart breaker
by a point at the buzzer.

Most important, these girls had a great time together. 

When you're in second grade,
that's reason enough

to call it a successful season!
Also, there's no doubt they were the best dressed team -
doesn't style count for something?
