Valentine's Day is a favorite around here.
It's a day to spread love and happiness,
plus it feels good to tell the people in our life
how special they are to us.
I saw this idea on pinterest
and thought it looked cute and fairly simple.
We had no idea how excited the girls
(esp. Lexi) would get about having a love note
left on their door each morning.
We took turns sharing a sweet little message,
and it really made their day.
Lexi and Ryleigh each picked out Valentine's
and spent an entire afternoon creating their
boxes for school. It was serious business around here.
I was really grateful to spend the day with them,
celebrating with both of their classes.
It was all things sweet
(and sugary and red and pink
and cutesy.)
They made a new ice cream bowl for their daddy
complete with Ryleigh's handprint on the inside
and Lexi's painted hearts along the outside,
and we treated him to a fresh seafood dinner
shipped all the way from Florida.
It was pretty neat to see exactly where our meal was caught!
In return, he loved all three of his girls well.
After all, love makes the world go round!
