On the road again

With her daddy away in Texas for a business trip (i.e. a Texas football game), Alexis and I decided to hit the road to visit her aunts, uncles and cousins (and cousin to be).

First up was a trip to Madison to hang out with Aunt Kate as well as her sister and the boys.
Alexis, you and Boden became fast friends.
At lunch, you spent time chatting with each other.
He would say a word like "buddy" or "french fries",
then you'd repeat it, then he'd say it again and you repeated it.
You had very own little "conversation" at the restaurant.
Next up was a visit to the ice cream shop,
and you took turns chasing each other down the street on our way there.
And of course we had to have a little photo op,
with all that blonde hair and blue eyes.
Back at the house, you gave attention to Baby Cooper too,
and you made sure Uncle John was kept company while he grilled.
What a fun visit!

The next day, we were back on the road.

This time to visit the Hanks gang. 

Matt and Courtney kept you busy with a magic show,

and some acorn collecting, 

and some time on the swingset,

and some pumpkin painting,

and lots of swinging you around the family room,

which was always followed by you yelling, "one more time". 

and a big family dinner,

and some birthday song singing and cupcake eating. 

Talk about a fun afternoon!!
